Jeff Blubaugh is a native Kansan born and raised in Harper County as well as residing a few years in West Wichita and attending school in Goddard. Like who most grow up in rural towns, Jeff's work ethic and experience began at a young age in agriculture and transitioned into manufacturing after High School. After graduating from Chaparral High School, he moved to Wichita to work for Cessna and continued his education at night. Jeff has now lived in the City of Wichita for over 30 years. Jeff is married to wife, Meghan and they have four children.
While working for Cessna Aircraft Company, Jeff received a Bachelor's of Science in Business and Master of Science in Management from Friends University. His education took him from working in manufacturing to sales, marketing, and customer satisfaction management. Along the way, he enhanced his degrees with Post Graduate work completing the Growth Leadership Development program from Fisher School of Business at The Ohio State University and is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt in Lean Management and Strategic Facilitation Training.
In 2009, when the recession hit, Jeff's 17-year career at Cessna ended. He went on to real estate where he is currently owner broker at Jeff Blubaugh Real Estate. Jeff used his experience and knowledge to build a successful career in real estate sales and real estate investment.
Jeff's government experience started when he was elected to the Goddard School Board in 2011. He was later elected to the Wichita City Council representing District 4 in Wichita, Kansas in 2013 and has been elected three times in total to the Wichita City Council. In April 2014, Jeff was elected by the City Council to serve as Vice Mayor and was later elected to a second term, serving Wichita for two terms as Vice-Mayor.
Jeff's education and career experience will ensure he makes sound financial decisions that will benefit both Sedgwick County and its residents.
