I love our city and the great people who live here, and I want to do what I can do to ensure a bright future for all Sedgwick County residents.
For the past 10 years, I’ve served on Wichita’s City Council and two terms as Wichita’s Vice Mayor. From the new Eisenhower Airport, Riverfront Stadium, Delano revitalization, Pawnee Prairie Park investments and West Street infrastructure, I’m proud of our accomplishments, including the number of new jobs and companies that moved into Wichita. But there is more work to be done.
I am eager to use my commonsense approach to ensure a brighter future for residents county-wide. It’s time to be fiscally accountable and bring critically needed improvements to County services. I have the knowledge and experience, and a proven track record that I will stand up for you.
It is time to stand up for the people of Sedgwick County. With your support, we can make great strides.

To Wichita friends in Jeff Blubaugh's district --
I worked with Jeff at Cessna and volunteered with him at the Wichita Children's Home. Jeff was a great colleague and is just a genuinely good human. Always willing to pitch in to help and listen.
A few years ago, my husband and I were trying to make several improvements to our house and yard. A city worker came by and was extremely rude and harassed us about an improvement we had made. It was really demoralizing after all we were doing to make our place look better. This city worker was known in our neighborhood for driving around and harassing people and issuing citations. I posted my frustration on Facebook. I had no idea he had seen it.
Jeff contacted us very quickly and helped resolve the issue, knowing that there were far bigger things for city employes to be doing, other than poking people. He did what most don't. He DID something about it. Anyway, I just wanted to share because a vote for him is a vote for someone who actually cares, who has what these days seems like 'uncommon sense' and isn't just words and not action. Thanks for all you do Jeff! We appreciate you!
Jeff Blubaugh Files for Sedgwick County Commission District 2 with Major Endorsements Sedgwick County, Kansas
Jeff Blubaugh, termed out Wichita City Council Member and former Goddard School Board Member has filed to run for Sedgwick County Commission District 2. His candidacy is backed by the full endorsement of the Wichita Fraternal Order of Police as well as the Wichita Firefighters IAFF.
"Public Safety has always been my highest priority and I take these endorsements seriously, not just for our First Responders but for the Community in which they serve. Wichita is still over 100 officers short and these positions need to be filled as soon as possible to ensure our streets and communities are kept safe. Recent news of Wichita Firefighters enduring life-threatening miscommunications with 911 dispatchers needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY."
"I am also honored to have the Endorsement of State Senate Leadership President Ty Masterson, Speaker of the House Dan Hawkins, Sedgwick County Republican Chair Deb Lucia as well as a long list of other State and Local Elected Officials." Speaker of the House Dan Hawkins said "Jeff's conservative leadership and experience on the Wichita City Council demonstrates a track record of bringing critical infrastructure to the Southside and working with First Responders to ensure public safety. I know he will be an excellent addition to the Sedgwick County Commission".
"During my time on the Goddard School Board and my 11 years on the Wichita City Council, I learned how to get infrastructure improvements accomplished without raising taxes. I look forward to working with State and local officials to continue to move Sedgwick County forward and keep our streets safe."
Your help and contributions are greatly appreciated!
